Together we are “Heaven Bound”. We were
singing at a revival and as we introduced ourselves as Heaven Bound, a little
old fella in the back row shot his hand up, stood to his feet and exclaimed,
“I’m headed there too! Praise the Lord!” We are a group who has come together
to spread the good news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through
Contemporary Christian and Southern Gospel music mixed with a bit of humor
and lots of energy! Our goal is to praise and lift high the name of Jesus by
using the talents God has given us. We stand on God’s Word expressed in
Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in
the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Heaven Bound formed in 1999 in Wheeling, WV
after we were entertained at our church’s Mother-Daughter Banquet by a ladies
trio visiting us from another part of the state. Their ministry touched our
hearts and it is our prayer that our music ministry now also touches hearts
and encourages others to stand and spread the gospel. Each of us have musical
backgrounds and each have felt the desire to reach out to our community by
sharing the gospel in song, in word and in humor (the humor part comes easily
for Jeannie!)
Heaven Bound is committed to spreading the
glorious news to any who will listen. Wherever the Lord leads us, whatever we
say, whatever we do, we just want to praise Jesus for His gift of salvation.
He paid for us by shedding His precious blood on Calvary. Heaven Bound is
available on a free-will offering basis, and will travel wherever and
whenever possible. We have released our first CD recording, “He Made A
Change” that we dedicated to our Lord and we pray that it will uplift hearts
and encourage all who listen.
